Interporto Pordenone is in the running as a rail hub for Northern and Central Europe.
The European standard goods yard and flanked to either side by the Adriatic Baltic and Mediterranean corridors mean Pordenone intersects various transport routes and links to other goods yards in North Eastern Italy.
We cater to rail terminal activities with 160.000 m2 of dedicated infrastructures.
The goods yard comprises 7 sidings, 3 of which are electrified with 800 metre-long tracks, while the other 4 loading sidings are 750 metres and 700 metres long. Capacity, therefore, is 8-10 trains/day and 34 thousand ITUs/year (approx. 24.000 wagons).
The platform is designed for piggyback (ROLA) trains and set up for installation of gantry cranes. Short- and long-term ITUs can be stored in the rail-connected warehouses (40.000 m2).
The yards are sized to accommodate all vehicle and transport unit handling operations and provide the ultimate convenience and safety.
